Before Sending

The recipient requested a local postcard, so I chose this one.

ご当地カードのリクエストが書いてあったので、これを選びました。

Tottori Prefecture in Japan is famous for its crabs.

日本の鳥取県はカニが有名です。

You’ve been to Japan many times—have you ever tried crab here?

あなたは日本にたくさんこられてますが、カニは食べましたか？

Actually… I’m allergic to crustaceans, so I can’t eat them 😭

私は……実は甲殻類アレルギーで食べれません😭

I did eat crab as a child before I realized I had an allergy. It’s really delicious, isn’t it?

アレルギーに気づいていない子どもの頃は食べました。美味しいですよね～。

The stamp features an old-fashioned Japanese postbox. While you can still occasionally spot ones with a similar shape, the rectangular ones are now the standard.

切手は昔の郵便ポストです。似たような形のものはたまに見かけますが、四角いのが主流になりました。

As I mentioned on the postcard, I’m including some Detective Conan stickers.

ポストカードにも書きましたが、コナンのシールを同封しますね。
