どうかな？気に入ってもらえるかな？

I chose a cat stamp to match the serval cat on the postcard.

切手はポストカードのサーバルキャットにあわせて、猫にしてみました。

By the way, the little character peeking out from above the cat is the official mascot of this zoo.

ちなみに猫の上からひょっこり顔を出しているのは、この動物園のキャラクターです。

This zoo is called “Nonhoi Park” (Toyohashi Zoo & Botanical Park).

この動物園は、のんほいパーク（豊橋総合動植物公園）といいます。

It’s a great spot where you can enjoy a full day, featuring a zoo, botanical garden, amusement park, and museum all in one place.

動物園・植物園・遊園地・博物館があって、1日楽しめる場所です。

As I wrote on the postcard, I’ve been coming here for a really long time.

ポストカードにも書きましたが、昔からずーっと通っています。

Here’s a photo from when I went to the zoo with my children.

これは私の子どもたちと動物園に行ったとき。

They are now 20 and 14 years old.

2人は今、20才と14才になりました。

And these are my absolute favorites—the elephants!

それから、わたしのいちばんのお気に入りの「ゾウ」

I love seeing them relaxing and living comfortably.

ゾウたちがのびのびしている感じが好きなんです。

There are so many other wonderful sights, like the soles of a swimming rhino’s feet, a barn owl sitting completely still, and a laid-back orangutan.

ほかにも泳いでいるサイの足の裏。じーっとしているメンフクロウ。のんびりしているオランウータン。

I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here before this post gets completely flooded with photos! (lol)

まだまだまだまだありますが、写真だらけになりそうなので、やめておきます（笑）

I hadn’t heard of naked mole-rats before, so I looked them up!

ハダカデバネズミを知らなかったので調べてみました。

They are sooo adorable, it was love at first sight! 😊

I found out that some zoos in Japan have them, so I hope to go see them in person someday.

日本の動物園にもいることがあったので、いつか直接みてみたいと思います。
