I picked this postcard for you because you said you enjoy learning about the world.

「世界について学んだりするのが好き」と書いていたので、このポストカードにしました。

This postcard features Miyagi Prefecture in Japan.

日本の宮城県のことが書かれたポストカードです。

For the stamps, I chose fruit designs. They are from the 2026 Summer Greeting Stamp series issued in Japan.

切手は果物にしてみました。2026年夏のグリーティング切手です。

I see I already wrote about the masking tape on the postcard, too. Hehe. 😊

マスキングテープは……って、ポストカードに書きましたね。

These beckoning cats are often displayed in shops.

この招き猫は、お店に置いてあることが多いです。

It means “I hope many customers will come!” and is believed to bring good fortune to shops.

お客さんがたくさん来ますように！って。

It’s gotten quite a bit cooler here in Japan, so I was really surprised to hear it was 40.6°C (105°F) over there!

日本がだいぶ涼しくなってきたので、40.6℃とは驚きました。

Here in my area of Japan, it’s currently 25.5°C (77.9°F) as of 11:40 AM on September 6th.

日本の私の住む地域は、9月6日11時40分現在25.5℃です。

Though it’s cloudy today, so I shouldn’t let my guard down just yet.
