Before Sending
Since my postcard from Japan has not arrived yet, I chose a postcard featuring a view of Tokyo, the capital city of Japan.
This is Tokyo Station, one of the most famous landmarks in Tokyo.

This postcard features an illustration by my favorite illustrator, Ai Okino.
I hope you will like it.
I also used a stamp with a Tokyo cityscape.

The stamp features the Sumida River Fireworks Festival.
I’ll send it from this mailbox. 😊

I hope this letter reaches you safely.
Hurray! & My Reply

I’m glad it arrived safely.
I’m so glad you liked it.
Thank you so much for looking into various things based on my postcard!
Based on your message, I’m guessing you were talking about the area around the Oigawa Railway?
It’s a place I absolutely love, and I’ve been there both by car and by train.
At first, I was surprised to learn that there are no bullet trains in the US—especially for such a huge country! But now it makes complete sense.
It’s precisely because it’s so vast.
People rely much more on airplanes and cars than on trains, don’t they?
Realizing that what I take for granted isn’t the norm everywhere, and having those eye-opening moments, is one of the best parts of Postcrossing.
Thank you for helping me notice that!
Thank you!
