Before Sending
I was so happy to read your profile and see how much you love so many different aspects of Japan!
I was wondering what to send, but I decided to go with your request for a Gotochi Form Card (local shaped postcard).
This is a Gotochi Form Card from Shizuoka Prefecture, where I live.

It shows people picking tea leaves, which is called “Tea Picking.”
Since you mentioned a request for “decorating” on the written side (if I read that correctly! haha), I tried adding a little bit of decoration.

I really hope you like it!
Oh, by the way, just a quick note—as I mentioned on the envelope, Japanese Gotochi Form Cards cannot be sent overseas by themselves and must be placed inside an envelope (as of August 2026).

So I’m sending it in an envelope. I hope that’s okay!
I also put a stamp featuring “sushi”—which you love—on the envelope ♪

Thank you so much for loving Japan as much as you do. It really warms my heart!
Here goes! I’m mailing it from this mailbox right here.

I hope this letter reaches you safely.
Happy Arrival & My Thank You

I’m glad it arrived safely.
Thank you so much for your wonderfully thoughtful and sweet message.
I hope you and your family can build your dream home together.
And please visit Japan someday!
Danke!
